What is a Priority Pass credit card?
Priority Pass is a global lounge program with access to over 1,300 lounges in more than 500 cities. Membership brings lounge access plus extras like fresh food and, at some lounges, spa treatments.
There are two types of Priority Pass card: unlimited access, and a set number of passes. Either way, the membership fee is included in the card's annual fee. For lounge access more broadly, compare airport lounge cards.
What to expect in the lounge
Regardless of your airline or ticket class, you can usually expect free Wi-Fi, complimentary snacks and drinks, power and charging, comfortable seating, and at some lounges shower or spa facilities (sometimes for an extra fee).
How to join with your card
The steps vary by card. With a Westpac Altitude Black, you apply to enrol on the website; with American Express Platinum and Platinum Business, you call the number on the back of the card to activate. Once set up, present your physical or digital membership card at the lounge.
Make the most of complimentary visits during layovers and long waits, check whether your card adds partner lounges beyond Priority Pass, and get to know the rest of your card's travel benefits like credits, rewards and insurance.
