Our story
Credit Card Compare launched in 2008 with a straightforward purpose: give Australians a free, independent place to compare credit cards side by side. Rather than trawling through each bank's marketing material separately, consumers can see rates, fees, rewards and features in one place and find a card that suits their situation.
The site is free to use. We earn a referral fee when someone applies through a link on the site, which is how we fund our work. That commercial relationship is disclosed on every page. It does not affect how cards are scored or ranked. Our comparison data is drawn from publicly available product information and updated regularly.
Beyond comparison, we work as an intelligence layer for the Australian credit card market. We share market research and insights with banks and issuers to help them build better card products.
We hold an Australian Credit Licence (ACL #425682) and are a member of the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA: 45547). If you have a complaint about our service, our complaints process explains how to raise it and escalate to AFCA.
